Courses and apprenticeships in Merseyside and Liverpool

Foundation Learning - is a prevocational development course that is designed to help you access Apprenticeships, further education or work. You will work on Employability, along with basic skills of Number and Communication. You will also have the opportunity to undertake a personal development course with our programme of trips, visits and activities.

Key  to Early Years Apprenticeship - is a 5 month course to allow you to complete elements of the apprenticeship (Certificate in Children's Care, Paediatric first aid, and Key Skills / Functional Skills) and gain work experience prior to finding an Apprenticeship.

Early Years Level 2 Apprenticeship - this will last between 6 and 15 months and will qualify you to work in a nursery or similar job. Having undertaken a CRB check you will be found a work placement unless you are already employed, and you will attend our college for tutorials to qualify in the QCF Certificate in Children and Young People's Workforce Level 2

Early Years Advanced Apprenticeship - is a 15-month course and will fully qualify you to work in a nursery or similar job. You will hold a CRB and undertake a programme that will cover a, Key / Functional Skills at Level 2 and the Level 3 QCF Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce.

Alternative Curriculum for Schools - in conjunction with schools we are able to offer Level 1 Opportunities in Childcare. This may also include one or more days at an employer. Additionally, we are also able to offer Key/Functional skills.

Course information:

• Bus passes may be available for some courses subject to funding
• 16 and 19 year olds are eligible for all of the above programmes
• We have places for unemployed students aged 19 to 24 
• Age 25+ limited places 
• All age places are available for any person who is employed in the Early Years sector and would like to become qualified
• Employers we are happy to meet your training needs
• Our courses and apprenticeships are based in Liverpool.
